Ignat Solzhenitsyn, conductor

Ignat Solzhenitsyn is a festival favorite, having led from the podium our orchestral concerts in 2017 and 2019. He is also a fascinating and intellectual human being, as well as a world-class pianist, and this interview will feature him in both contexts. Artistic Director Adam Neiman will curate the interview process, delving deeply into Ignat's thoughts and feelings about the music world, and Ignat has agreed to perform a few solo piano selections for us, as well!

Craig Sheppard, piano

World-renowned pianist Craig Sheppard has almost made it to MMF twice: in 2019 unforeseen circumstances kept him from coming, and he was scheduled to appear during the in-person 2020 festival, but, alas COVID-19 rendered all live performing impossible!

Craig will appear in 2021, but in the meantime, this interview will be a wonderful opportunity for the MMF audience to get to know this charming and charismatic gentleman, who has led a fascinating and story-filled professional life. Craig has graciously agreed to perform a few solo piano selections, as well!
